Start with the recipe list
Write down whether you mainly make one smoothie, family sauces or occasional frozen mixtures. Check the manufacturer’s permitted ingredients and minimum quantities. Not every jug is intended for hot liquids, ice or dry grinding, regardless of how powerful the motor sounds.
Handle the jug and lid
Consider filled weight, pouring control and the space beneath cupboards. Check whether the lid can be opened comfortably and whether a serving cup fits your routine. A large jug can be awkward for very small portions if ingredients do not reach the blades effectively.
Read the cleaning instructions
Look at removable seals, dishwasher permissions and access around the blade assembly. Follow safety instructions and never reach near blades while the appliance is connected. Compare how often you will use the machine with the time needed to clean and dry it after each use.
