Aim at the occupied area

Start with a stable surface and direct airflow towards the place being used. Keep the guard and intake unobstructed and follow the placement instructions. Oscillation is helpful only if the changing direction reaches people rather than spending most of its cycle on an empty wall.

Consider the room conditions

A fan moves air; it is not the same as an air conditioner. Window ventilation depends on outside conditions and security, so do not assume opening every window always helps. During dangerous heat, follow local public-health guidance rather than relying on a fan alone.

Keep use practical

Route the cable away from feet and curtains. Check whether the lowest comfortable setting is quieter enough for work or sleep. Switch off and unplug before cleaning, and remove guards only if the manual provides a safe user procedure.
