Find the intended setting

Look up the model’s recommended setting and the food-storage guidance applicable to your household. Do not assume “3” means three degrees. Place a suitable fridge thermometer as instructed and allow conditions to settle before interpreting the reading.

Notice loading and airflow

Keep internal air paths clear and avoid packing food tightly against vents. Frequent door opening and a large new load can affect readings. Compare observations under similar conditions instead of adjusting the control repeatedly over a short period.

Check the door area

Make sure shelves or containers do not prevent the door closing fully. Inspect accessible seals and clean them as directed. If temperatures remain outside safe food-storage guidance or the appliance shows a fault, protect perishable food and seek support rather than relying on a colder dial setting alone.
