Choose what you want to learn
Decide whether the useful question is the temperature on a balcony, rainfall in the garden or conditions near sensitive plants. These are different measurement locations. Read the station’s requirements for exposure, height and distance from surfaces before mounting sensors.
Test the wireless connection
Place the sensor temporarily at the intended location and confirm updates reach the display through normal closed doors and windows. Keep access for battery replacement in mind. A perfect measurement position is not practical if routine maintenance requires an unsafe climb.
Explain unusual readings
Note whether sun, a wall, roof runoff or a ventilation outlet could influence the result. Compare the trend rather than expecting an exact match with a distant official station. Secure the device using its approved mount and check it after strong weather.
